Andrew Oravec , M.Ed. in Exercise Physiology, ACSM, NASM Fitness Nutrition Specialist
Andrew was born in Akron, OH and has called northeast Ohio his home ever since. Upon graduating from Lake High School in 2009, he attended Walsh University for three semesters to continue his football career. He ultimately finished up his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science in 2015 from the University of Akron. Andrew went on to receive a Masters in Exercise Physiology in 2016.
Prior to beginning at Physio Balance & Sports Performance, Andrew gained experience in cardiac rehabilitation at Mercy Hospital aiding patients in their recovery process after undergoing a cardiac event. His most recent personal training experience was working with a variety of patients at Summa Wellness Center, performing health assessments and teaching group exercise classes. His most rewarding experience to date has been working with special needs patients, and those undergoing cancer treatments — as his passion lies in impacting others and helping them reach their goals.
Outside of work, Andrew likes to train his physical and mental endurance. Over the last few years, he has completed several half marathons and two Ironman 70.3 races. His main goal for 2020 is to test his limits and finish an Ironman 140.6. He enjoys spending time with his family, and especially loves being an uncle to five beautiful nieces & nephews. If he’s not rooting for his favorite sports teams (Steelers, Penguins, and Indians) then he can likely be found outdoors hiking, golfing, and deer hunting.
